Stephen Allen Duncan, 63, of Lexington, MO died Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home. Stephen was born on February 7, 1954 in Excelsior Springs, MO to Bobby Gene and Virginia Mae (Stanton) Duncan. He married Pamela Jo Fischer of Dover, MO on June 11, 1977. She survives of the home. Additional survivors include his mother, Virginia Mae Stanton Holman of San Antonio, TX; brothers and sisters, Robert Duncan (Janet ) of Richmond, MO, Carolyn Sandoval (A.J.) of San Antonio, TX, Jennifer Morse (Dan) of Reno, NV, Pam Lam (Rick) of Richmond, Mike Nichols (Cindy) of Richmond, Bryon Nichols (Lacy) of Richmond, Bill Nichols of Kearney, MO, Ann O’Dell (Kenneth) of Richmond, Vickie Taylor (Billy) of Maryville, TN, Kevin Nichols of Richmond, Allen Nichols (Tracy) of Richmond and Donnie Nichols (Katie) of Richmond; step-mother, Kathryn Nichols; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive. Stephen is preceded in death by his father, Bobby Gene Duncan; his paternal grandparents; maternal grandmother, Ova Duncan; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Allen and Betty Fischer. Stephen was a 1972 graduate from Richmond High School. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in electricity and electronics from CMSU. He worked for Honeywell as a manager in the Defense Industry. He was of the Christian faith. He was a member of the Ducks Unlimited and National Wild Turkey Federation. Stephen enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening and the outdoors. He loved his home, family and friends. Stephen lived at his present location east of Lexington for the last 38 years. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the Family’s Choice or to the St. John’s Cemetery in Dover, MO. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Thurman Funeral Home in Richmond. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery in Dover, MO.
