Brenda Sue Hogan, a resident of North Miami passed away on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at the age of sixty-nine. Brenda was born on May 21, 1948 in West Helena, Arkansas to Sigmoun Bacharach and Alma Aline (Clinton) Hawkins. She lived in the area for over sixty years; she worked at Eastwood Manor in Housekeeping for ten years. Mrs. Hogan loved her family and enjoyed her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in passing by her parents Sigmoun and Alma Hawkins, a son James Hogan and five brothers Fulton Lacy Hawkins, Wallace Eugene Hawkins, Charles Washington Hawkins, Boyce Wayne Hawkins and Thomas Sigman Hawkins.
Brenda leaves to carry on her legacy her husband Glen Hogan of the home, her children Jerry Joseph Childers Jr. and his wife Nicole of Eagle, Nebraska, Pamela Sue Erwin and her husband Donovan of Miami, Clifford Wade Childers of Missouri, Rhonda Caral Adams and her husband Brian of Fairland, Anthony Dale Childers and his wife Katherine of Eagle Nebraska and Madison Danae Hogan of North Miami, her brothers and sisters Walter Wesley Hawkins, Joyce Gevedia Johnson, Margaret Aline Heard and Phillip Dale Hawkins, along with her twenty grandchildren and twenty-two great grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8PM on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
Services will be 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 7, 2018 at Abounding Faith Ministries with Pastor Kay Snowden officiating. Interment will follow at the Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery under the care of Brown-Winters Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Miami.
