Andrew A. Knapp, 70, of Hillsdale, passed away Saturday, February 3, 2018, at his home. He was born November 17, 1947 in Detroit, Mi to Andrew & Rose (Kreizter) Knapp. Andy was married October 24, 1988 to Robyn Gurtner and she survives.
Andy was employed at Hillsdale Tool for 34 plus years. He was a graduate of Hillsdale High School and was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam era. Andy was a member of the Hillsdale County Conservation Club, the Hillsdale American Legion and the Moose Lodge. Andy enjoyed woodworking, carpentry and playing golf.
Surviving besides his wife Robyn are two children, Lindsay "Jason" (Cheyenne) Ledyard and Leslie (Mark) Goodlock, both of Hillsdale; six grandchildren, Jace, Ariella, Amelia, Yazmyne, Kendall and Owen; three siblings, Allen Knapp of Utah, Barbara (Tom) Morgan of Osseo and Mark Knapp of Detroit.
Andy was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, Kathy Beaverson and Robert Knapp and father-in-law, Charlie Gurtner.
A celebration of the life of Andrew Knapp is being planned for a later date. There will be no visitation or calling hours at this time. Arrangements are entrusted to the VanHorn-Eagle Funeral Home in Hillsdale.
