Murray Ashwill had the privilege to go to heaven suddenly, Friday, November 27, 2009, since he trusted Jesus’ death to pay the penalty for his sin. He left a wake of blessing and faithfulness throughout his 84 years of life here. He taught the Word of God for over 40 years and was a deacon at Brookhaven Church. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.

Born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 2, 1925, he was the youngest of seven children. He trained to become a Naval aviation pilot in WWII. He worked for Billy Graham, World Vision, Christian Anti-Communism Crusade, Encyclopedia Britannica Films, Universal Films, Doubleday Multimedia, and business owner of Video Communications for 20 yrs. He worked with his son at the Borden Hamman Agency in the Information Technology Dept. until the day he died.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nelson Andrew Ashwill, Sr. and Nettie E. Redd, six of his siblings and a granddaughter, Wendi Ashwill (#100083572). He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Anne; his brother, Nelson Ashwill Jr. and wife Jean; his daughter Linda Murray and husband Bobby; his son S. Reed Ashwill and wife Marian; his grandchildren, Jeff Murray, Julie DuBois, Christi Daughenbaugh, Catherine Couch, Michael Ashwill, and 3 great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3 p.m. today, Sunday, November 29, 2009, at Brookhaven Church, 13000 Marsh Ln.
