Janet had been a homemaker, who loved cooking and spending time with her family gathered around the table. She also loved fishing. Janet was a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church. God blessed her with a beautiful singing voice. Janet loved to sing God’s praises. She often said that singing for the Lord was her ministry and contribution for God’s service.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her five brothers, Fred Hurst, Claude Hurst, Ray Hurst, Chester Hurst, and Hubert Hurst, and one sister, Ada Metcalfe.
She is survived by the following members of her family, her loving husband of 59 years, Harvey Robbins, son Anthony (Zelda) Robbins, daughters Linda (Jerry) Lawson, and Andrea (Arnold) England, grandchildren Lauren (Brennan) O’Quinn, Bryan Robbins, and Krystin (Jon) Howerton, great grandchildren Aubrianna England, Savannah Howerton, and Rylan O’Quinn, and special friends Ilene Hurst and Dorothy Smith.
