Mrs. Mary Ellen Glennon, widow of Richard Glennon, died at her home, 834 Vernal street, at 2:15 p.m. Monday. Death followed an illness of five weeks' duration. She was born May 15, 1848, at Limerick, Ireland, came to this country seventy-eight years ago and had lived in this city since she was 5 years old.
Surviving are one son, William C. Glennon of this city; one daughter, Mrs. Margaret Farr and a granddaughter, Eleanor Farr, both of Cedar Rapids; a cousin, Mike Ryan of Marion.
Funeral services will be held in St. Patrick's church at 9 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Father Lenihan will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Calvary cemetery.
