Mrs. Barbara Ann Hancock Hubbard, age 80 of Rome passed away Saturday February 3, 2018 in a local hospital.

Mrs. Hubbard was born November 1, 1937, in Cave Spring, Ga. a daughter of the late Robert Hancock, and Nathaleen Purdy Hancock. She was a member of Dykes Creek Baptist Church. Mrs. Hubbard was retired from the Piggy Wiggly in North Rome after 17, years of service. She was preceded in death by her husband Hugh Lee Hubbard, a brother William Bradford Hancock.

Survivors include her daughters, Lea Ann (Richard) Edwards, Rome; Anita Lynn (Jeff) Pope, Silver Creek; grandchildren, Cody, Matthew, Joshua, and William Edwards, Kiersten Simpson, and Huston Pope, great grandchildren, Colton Edwards, and Heidi Simpson, special friends, Charles and Sandra Browder, Randloph andJoyce Oswalt, several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday February 7, 2018 at Good Shepherd Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Steve Drake, officiating. Interment will follow in East View Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Tuesday February 6, 2018, at Good Shepherd Funeral Home, 2750 Shorter Ave. Rome, Ga. 30165.

Pallbearers include Henry Jackson, Jr. Cody Edwards, Huston Pope, Joshua Edwards, William Edwards, and Doug Simpson.
