Betty Ann McBride, 88, formerly of Peru, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 1, 2017 at Riverwalk Commons in Noblesville, IN. Betty Ann was born in Peru, IN on January 30, 1929 to the late, Henry E. and Esther L. (Wahlig) Thoennes. Betty Ann was a graduate of Peru High School and then attended Butler University. On December 31, 1950 she married the late Thomas F. McBride.Betty Ann is survived by one daughter, Gail (Gary) Pontius of Westfield; daughter-in-law, Deborah McBride of Minneapolis; 3 grandchildren, Katie McBride, Nick McBride and Christopher McBride, along with several nieces and nephews.Betty Ann was preceded in death by 3 children, Jeff, Beth and Todd McBride and 2 sisters, Jane Ellen Hammond and Mary Lou Ripberger.A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church with Fr. Adam Mauman. There will also be a lunch provided at Riverview Funeral Home and Event Center from 2:30 pm until 4:00 pm after Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorial contributions to go to the St. Charles Renovations Fund, 58 East 5th St. Peru, IN. 46970 or Heartland Enriching Life Hospice, 931 East 86th St. Suite 208 Indianapolis, IN. 46240.
