AUGUSTA, GA - Betty Joyce Boatright, 88, entered into rest Saturday, February 3, 2018.
Ms. Boatright, the daughter of the late Caleb Bruce Boatright and M. Elma Flanders Boatright was born at her family's homestead in Johnson County, GA and graduated from the Emmanuel County Institute in Emmanuel County, GA. She moved to Augusta in 1948 and worked at the Lilly Tulip Cup plant until her retirement in 1990. For 70 years Ms. Boatright was an active member of the Woodlawn Baptist Church in Augusta.
She is survived by her sister, Mrs. Peggy Oris Smith, along with cousins, nieces, nephews.
The funeral service was held on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son with Rev. Floyd Harrison officiating. Burial followed in Hillcrest Memorial Park.
