In Memory of James (Jim) Calvin Wylie Jr.
November 8, 1949 - February 2, 2018

James C. Wylie Jr., 68, went to be with Jesus on February 2, 2018. He went by many names: Jim, Jr., daddy, pops, grandpa, and gramps. His biggest accomplishment in life were his children and grandchildren. He never missed an opportunity to cheer his kids on at everything they did. You could often see him in the stands watching his grandkids play football and volleyball, or out on the soccer fields. He was ever present for everything they did, and always beaming with pride. Jim spent his life serving others through various pursuits. He served on his neighborhood HOA as well as the MUD board for many years. He was never afraid of hard work, spending over 40 years working at the company started by his father, Universal Packaging. He loved spending his free time riding his motorcycle and fishing with the people he loved. He also enjoyed traveling all over the place with his brother in search of the best BBQ in Texas. Jim never knew a stranger and was loved by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents James C. Wylie and Julia E. Landman Wylie. He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Wendy; his son James C. Wylie III and wife Abbie; daughter Julia Gibson and husband Kenneth; daughter Janelle Coleman and husband Chris; and his grandchildren Zachary, Jamison, Christina, Jayden, Carter, CJ, and Addison; brother John Wylie and wife Patricia; brother Joe Wylie and LuAnn Huddleston; and many other extended and "adopted" family members.
