Juanita Phillips, 87, went to be with her heavenly father on January 29, 2018.
Juanita was born on April 24, 1930 to the late Henry and Maude (Robinson) Gunter. She married Donald Phillips on May 30, 1951 and he preceded her in death on August 20, 2011.
She was a much loved wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. She taught school for 37 years. She enjoyed her retirement years spoiling her grand kids and great grand kids who affectionately called her Dewey and traveling the world.
Survivors include her three daughters, two sons-in-law, five grandchildren and five great grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Bud Gunter and Jack Gunter,and by an infant sister, Katherine Marie Gunter.
Funeral services for Juanita will be held on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at 12:00 PM at the Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado with Rev. Jeff Rush officiating. Burial will be in Douglass Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:30 AM until service time of 12:00 PM.
