Mr. James 'Jim' Lockridge, age 88 of Conyers, died Thursday, February 1, 2018. He was preceded in death by parents, Tandy and Lucille Lockridge. He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Mickey Lockridge; sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and JoAnne Lockridge, Christopher and Vicki Lockridge, David and Melissa Lockridge; grandchildren, Dalton, Davie, Brandy, Jessi; and 8 great-grandchildren. Mr. Lockridge was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and lay speaker for the Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army and loved woodworking. Funeral Services will be held Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Scot Ward's Green Meadow Chapel with Rev. Chris Branscomb and Rev. Martha Wright officiating; interment will follow at Green Meadow Memorial Gardens. Family will receive friends Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 5 until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 233 Peachtree Steet, Suite 225, Harris Tower, Atlanta, GA 30303.
