GEORGE COOKE SPIGENER, JR, 82, of Winter Garden, FL died at home - he was the son of George Cooke and Elizabeth Smith Spigener. George attended both Virginia Military Institute and the University of Alabama, was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was an avid outdoorsman, pilot and boater and had a variety of business interests. Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Annette Randall Spigener; children, Virginia and George C; grandchildren, Annie Starr, Virginia Frances Teel and Charlotte Spigener. A memorial service will be held at Church of the Messiah in Winter Garden, FL on February 5, 2018. Published in the Orlando Sentinel on Feb. 3, 2018.
