Ace Doss Died Last Tuesday Night in Napa
Azariah Doss, better known as "Ace" Doss, who lived in Calistoga as a child and grew to manhood here, died Tuesday at his home in Napa.
Ace Doss was born in Oregon, but came to Calistoga with his parents, the late Mr. and Mrs. George W. Doss, as a child. He moved to Napa about a third of a century ago. Before leaving here, as a young man, he was learning the plumbing and tinning trade in the Wakerly Bros. hardware store. He worked at Napa for the H. Swartz Company as a plumber, after leaving here, until about ten years ago, when, stricken by illness that incapacitated him completely. He retained his good cheer, however, and was courageous and hopeful up until the very last. He was about 65 years of age.
His wife, the late Carrie Doss, was taken by death several years ago.
There are left to mourn his loss these children: Mrs. F.H. Ash of Bisbee, Ariz., Miss Nadine Doss of Bisbee, Mrs. P.E. Nelligan of Antioch, Mrs. H.W. Dewer of Salinas, Mrs. L. Bruning of Napa, Benjamin A. Doss, George W. Doss, Jesse C. Doss and Russell V. Doss of Napa.
There are two brothers, William Doss and Henry Doss of Alameda, and three sisters, Mrs. Charles. Ransford and Mrs. L. Record of Napa and Mrs. Annie Colyar of Petaluma.
The funeral was held yesterday afternoon from the Treadway Funeral Chapel in Napa, with interment in Tulocay cemetery.

No Headstone. On the north side in plot 1 is his wife Carolyn "Carrie" {Simmons} Doss and on the south side in plot 3 is one of their sons, George Arthur Doss.
