Vivian was born in Houston, Texas, to the late Felix and Veronica Abadie. She was a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in Houston and later attended Texas Women’s College in Denton. Vivian married Floyd Branderry Lane on April 3, 1943.
Vivian was a member of the Northern Senior Senate of the Galveston/Houston Diocese and a member of the Goldenrods of Saint Matthias in Magnolia. She enjoyed bowling and was an excellent seamstress. She also loved to knit and was a great baker and cook.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Floyd B. Lane; brother, Frank Murray; and daughter-in-law, Jo Ann Lane.
Survivors include her sons: F. Jeffrey Lane, of Katy, William Lane and his wife, Theresa, of Sargent, and Roger Lane and his wife, M. J., of Jewett; grandchildren: F. Jeffrey Lane, Jr., of Katy, Cindy Lane and Lizz Torres, of Marietta, Georgia, Christopher Lane, of Conroe, Kelli Lane, of Dickinson, and Allison Plaisance and her husband, Michael, of Jefferson, Louisiana; great-grandchildren: Hannah Plaisance, Geniveve Plaisance, and Kannon Lane; niece, Janette Sebesta and her husband, Edward, of Sugar Land; and a dear friend and caregiver, Mary Anders, of Jewett.
