Born on January 21, 1922 at home in Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late William and Emma (Miller) Warner, and was lifetime resident of south Stroudsburg.
In her early years she worked for Bell Telephone and Richard Walters Insurance; and then later was a secretary for Stroudsburg Area School District.
Evelyn was a lifetime member of Zion United Church of Christ in Stroudsburg; and also a member of PSERS.
She enjoyed her life with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are two daughters, Suzanne J. Stevens and companion Bill Long of Stroudsburg and Amy J. Snyder and husband Wade of Pen Argyl; five grandchildren, Candice Davis and husband Ray of Pen Argyl, Nicole Rideout and husband Vale of Pen Argyl, Megan Stevens-Ahejew and husband Gregory of Michigan, Heather Terry and husband Sam of Oxford, and Scott Stevens and wife Rachael of Stroudsburg; eight great grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Gail Stevens; two sisters, Jean Miller and Susan Miller both of Stroudsburg; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Edward Stevens; and two brothers, Earl "Dutch" Warner and Glen Warner.
Services will be held on Saturday, February 3, at the William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main Street, Stroudsburg; with viewing beginning at 9:30AM followed by the funeral service at 10:30AM. Pastor David Berryman,will officiate. Burial will follow at Laurelwood Cemetery in Stroudsburg.
