Evan Essex Jacobs, 57, passed away February 1, 2018 at Hays Medical Center, Hays, Ks.
He was born on October 30,1960 in Dodge City, Ks. the son of Melvin R. and Marjorie A. (Essex ) Jacobs. A lifetime area resident, he was a truck driver.
He was of the Catholic Faith, enjoyed fishing, was a Denver Bronco fan and loved his boys, nieces, nephews and grandkids.
He married Dena Walters. They later divorced.
Survivors include: three brothers, Rob (Diane) Jacobs, Kinsley, Ks.; Nathan (Cindy) Jacobs and Philbert Jacobs both of Dodge City, Ks.; two sisters, Vanessa (Mike) Bamberger and Amy (Lloyd) Rudzik , both of Jetmore, Ks.; two step sons, Joshua Jordan, Goodland, Ks. and Mathew Jordan, Jetmore, Ks; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Cremation took place and a memorial service will be at a later date.
