After raising her children, Sarah proudly attended Macomb Community College and earned a certificate as a Certified Medical Assistant in 1978. She worked for more than 30 years at numerous doctor offices in the Mt. Clemens area, retiring in 2012. Sarah enjoyed antique shopping, going out to the movies, and vacationing with her family. She welcomed the opportunity to spend time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and looked forward to hosting the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays for over 30 years. Sunday mornings were often spent watching Joel Osteen, where she discovered personal enrichment and spiritual enlightenment.
Sarah will be missed by her children; John (Frances) Lane, James (Tarri) Combs, Carole (Sam) Kamel, seven grandchildren; Jennifer, Lisa, Matthew, Sarah, Jamie, Danielle, and Stephen, and nine great-grandchildren; Blake, Isabella, Ava, twins Jack and Elana, Johnny, Amelia, Kaden, and Victoria-Rose Twinkle. She was preceded in death by her daughter Twinkle Combs, father James Blair, and siblings; Kyle Blair, James David “JD” Blair, and Betty Staples.
Visitation will be held in the Harold W. Vick Funeral Home, 140 South Main Street, Mount Clemens, MI on Sunday, February 4, 2018 from 12 Noon until 6:00p.m. Committal services will be held on Monday, February 5, 2018 at 12 Noon at Clinton Grove Cemetery, 21189 Cass Ave., Clinton Twp. .
