Robert H. Walker was the son of Buckner Walker Sr. and Seleita Freeland.

He served with the 1st Alabama Cavalry Union side, Co., M, Artificer, went in as Pvt and out as a blacksmith.

Robert first married Sarah L. Taylor, then secondly, he married Melissa Taylor. Supposedly, these two Taylor girls were the sister to George Taylor who married Emma Sarah Walker, who was the dau of Issac Newton Walker and Harriett S. Willis.

Robert's 3nd wife was Margaret Christian, dau of Jame Lewis Christian and Elizabeth Lourzar Garrison. Margaret was the sister of Mary Frances Christian who married Robert's brother Buckner Walker, Jr.
