A native of Christian County, he was born May 1, 1952, the son of the late David Clifton and Ruby Viola Hill Blankenship. He was a retired tree trimmer.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Veronica Gail Blankenship.
Survivors include his brothers, Russell Blankenship, Crofton and Frank (Rebecca) Blankenship, Louisville; and his sisters, Mary Abell, Hopkinsville and Nancy Haile, Crofton.
