"Mama Grace" was a beautiful Southern lady – kind, generous, strong, but soft-spoken. In her younger years, she enjoyed an excellent game of social golf. She loved to travel with her husband and, following his death, with her family. She also spent many happy times with friends at the neighborhood coffee shop and lunching at the Poinsett Club.
"Mama Grace" knew she had been blessed by God with a full and rich life. She was surrounded in love by her daughter and granddaughter throughout her life. That love grew as Ryan, Katie and Samantha became part of her family.
In addition to her husband, Grace was pre-deceased by her son, Harold Guy Simpson, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Joan Simpson McGee (Sam) of Greenville; her granddaughter, Laurie Mason Moulton (Ryan) and great granddaughters, Katherine Grace and Samantha Mason Moulton, all of Charleston.
