Ted graduated from Coleman High School in 1956. He worked for the Walter Toebe Construction Co. for 34 years, building bridges throughout Michigan and surrounding states. He just received his 50 years of membership award from the Carpenter's Local #687. He was an avid coon hunter in his younger years. He had a strong passion for deer hunting and construction work. He enjoyed crossword puzzles, answering Jeopardy trivia and old movies.
Ted is survived by his six children, T.J. (Katie) Marshall II and Mary Marshall of Midland, Michelle (Tom) Blankenship of Davison, Mich., Jake Marshall and Racheal Marshall of Bay City, Alora Marshall and girlfriend Teri Ridgeway at home; four grandchildren, T.J. Marshall III, Brooklynn Marshall, Brock and Brandon Blankenship; three great-grandchildren, Chasen, Kenzee, and Jayden; special lifelong friend, Rose; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William, Teddy Vaughn and Wilmer; sisters, Catherine Marshall and Mercedes Thomas.
The family would like to thank Compassus Hospice for their support.
Per Ted's wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be a memorial service Saturday, May 28 at the Church of Daniel's Band, 525 Dopp Rd. Midland. Visitation is at 11 a.m. until time of service at 12 p.m. The Rev. Jim Hoggard and the Rev. Douglas Tester will officiate. His ashes to be laid to rest in Warren Twp. Cemetery, Coleman.
