Buckner and Seleita had a many of hardships, esp. during the Civil War. While Buckner was hiding in the woods with his sons trying to get them to the Union side, Seleita was trying to maintain a home, which on a couple occasions had to vacate their home, or be killed, by the Confederates during the war. The Confederates would take livestock and food from the Walkers.
Sarah A. Walker is the only child not listed below, as we don't have much information as to her real DOB or DOD. Sarah had married Joseph H. McClure. Census records on Joseph and Sarah varied too much to be able to determine either ones real DOB.
Sarah and Joseph McClure had 8 children: William H. "Buckley", John A., Mary Amanda, Nancy, Martha, Ella, Joseph M, and Ada C. McClure. Some of these children migrated to Clark Co., AR, Prestin CO., MS, Itawanba Co., MS and Coal Co., OK.
