She is pre-deceased by her husband, T/SGT William Frank Foster, Jr.; an infant brother, Vaughn Franklin Carson, Jr. and brother-in-law, Bill Greenwalt.

Peggy was a proud graduate of Parker High School, and an active alumna with the “Bill Foster Breakfast Club - Parker High School Class of 55.” She received her undergraduate degree from Furman University and a master’s degree from Appalachian State University. Peggy devoted her life to education, in the classroom as a first-grade teacher, and later as an administrator, touching the lives of countless students and education professionals.
