Mrs. Lucy H. Purdy died at the home of William H. Snow at 8:30 this (Thursday) morning in her 88th year. She was a daughter of the late Andrew W. and Eliza Webster Young and was born in Batavia on 11/8/1832. She was united in marriage to Emery Purdy of Red Wing, Minn. on 12/4/1866, who died 9/18/1872. Member of the Presbyterian church of Warsaw for many years. She is survived by 2 sisters, Miss Elizabeth Young and Mrs. Mary E. Waterbury of Warsaw, also 2 nephews, J. Kirkwood Sparrel of Warsaw and Charles M. Young and 1 niece, Mrs. Genevieve Allmen, both of Portland, Oregon. Funeral services will be held at the home of Mr. Snow on East Buffalo St., at 2 o'clock on Saturday afternoon, Rev. Morgan Miller officiating. Interment in Warsaw cemetery.
