James W. “Jimmy” Lockwood Jr. 62 of Danville, passed away at 11:41 pm Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Carle Hospital in Urbana.
Jimmy was born October 20, 1955 in Danville, IL to James & Gloria Smith Lockwood Sr. Survivors include: his father; 2 sisters, Beth (Larry) Rodgers and Jacquie (Richard) Prevette; 3 nieces, Heather Senteney, Elizabeth Stennett, and Chelsea Kizer; 1 nephew, David Rodgers; His girlfriend, Chris Sigman, and her daughter Peggy also survive. As well as 11 great-nieces and 5 great-nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother.
Jimmy’s mother was a twin, Jimmy was also a twin, and his great-nieces are twins. He worked for a time at the former Wolford Hotel in Danville, and later made his home there. He was also involved with Worksource for many years. Jimmy enjoyed playing electric guitar and acoustical music. He was a member of New Start Gospel Center.
Funeral service 11am Monday at Robison Chapel in Catlin. Rev. Raymond Hallett & Ronnie Burgess will officiate. Burial in Sts. Peter & Paul Cemetery in Westville. Visitation is from 10am till servicetime on Monday at Robison Chapel. On-line condolences at www.robisonchapel.com
