Mrs. Myers was born in Davidson County in 1896 and was associated with the North Carolina Baptist Children's Home as a foster parent for several years.
She was a member of Reeds Baptist Church and the widow of Isaac Arlie Myers, who died in 1955.
Surviving are two daughters. Mrs. Aubrey (Nancy) Temple of R. 3, and Mrs. Burrmah (Barbara)
Carpenter of Cherryville; four sons, Horace A. Myers of R.3, Park W. Myers of 705 Market Street, A. Lamar Myers of R. 15, and Gerald R. Myers of Gastonia; two sisters, Mrs. Racie Michael of Lexington and Mrs. Hattie Yarborough of R. 3; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
