Bruce Lamurr Paynter, age 70, of Oakland, IL, passed away Wednesday, January 31, 2018.
Bruce was born December 7, 1947, in Indianapolis, IN, to Lowell H. and Mildred Blanche (Goodman) Painter. He married Marilyn June Bosley on May 17, 2002, she survives.
Bruce was a veteran of the U.S. Army, and served during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed Bass fishing and camping.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and one grandchild.
He is survived by his wife, and three children: Scott (Lori) Pieper of Stewardson, IL; Jeff (Lynne) Pieper of Davenport, IA; and Tamara (Paul) McAchran of Stewardson, IL; seven grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Monday, February 5, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Krabel Funeral Home in Oakland, IL. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Samaria Cemetery at Samaria Church, County Road 275 N, Dugger, IN, 47848.
