KENNETH J. HEWITT, age 84, of Cynthiana, Kentucky, died Monday, January 29, 2018, at Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital, in Lexington, Kentucky. Born in Syracuse, New York, on July 28, 1933, to the late Alfred and Viola Reed Hewitt, he was a former Ladish employee, but his passion was his small business of painting houses. Ken was a very proud United States Army Korean War veteran, where he received a Purple Heart. He was an avid bread-and-butter pickle maker.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by: a daughter, Norma Jean Stidham; two sons, Kenneth Lee Hewitt and David Wayne Hewitt; and three sisters, Evelyn Cravin, Bev Hill and Pat Sanford. He is survived by: his children, Susan (Larry) Stidham, Nancy Hewitt and Mary Hewitt, all of Cynthiana, and Larry Dale (Tracie Milam) Hewitt, of Mississippi; a daughter-in-law, Colleen Hewitt, of Lexington; 17 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.
