Jeanne M. Thompson, 66, of Belle Plaine, IA passed away Wed. Jan. 31, 2018 at Belle Plaine Specialty Care.
Cremation services have taken place per her wishes.
Jeanne was born July 4, 1951 to Charles and Audry (Birch) DeCoster in Victor, IA. She attended school in Belle Plaine.
On Oct. 14, 1962 she married Arthur “Art” Thompson at the Belle Plaine Methodist Church. To this union two children were born.
Jeanne worked for Funk’s Seed, Oasis and the Silver Dollar.
Jeanne enjoyed traveling to see family. Together the couple liked to relax and play cribbage, euchre, pepper and do word puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Art Thompson of Belle Plaine, IA; children, Heath Thompson of Lusk, WY and Haley (Shawn) Selleck of Montezuma; siblings, Pam (Dave) Baker of Belle Plaine, Terry (Colleen) Holland of Watkins, Amy Holland of Belle Plaine; nieces and nephews, Jeremy, Melissa, Jessica, Kelly, Brian, Emily Holland, Matt Holland, Charles DeCoster, Britney and Nick Baker, Travis Thompson and many more loving family and friends.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Creighton Holland; brothers, Leo DeCoster and Greg Holland.
She was very loved and will be deeply missed.
