Charles A. "Perk" Purdue of Lonoke passed away January 30, 2018 at the age of 93. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Delcye Purdue, his parents, Elvis and Sena Purdue, sister, Evelyn Noble and nephew, Joey Noble. He is survived by his devoted friend and caretaker, Carol McDougal of Pine Bluff, who he called his best friend and "The General", a niece and nephew of Memphis Tennessee and many other friends. Perk was a member of the Lonoke Methodist Church and loved his Lord. He retired from Riceland Foods of Lonoke after 38 1/2 years. Perk very proudly served his country in WWII in Germany where he received the Purple Heart, Bronze Metal and Good Conduct Metal. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 in Carlisle Cemetery.
