A native of Alamance County, he was the son of Maynard "Monk" Coleman and Nannie Lou Ector Coleman, both deceased.
He was employed with Kayser Roth and retired from Napa Auto Parts. Mr. Coleman was veteran of the United States Army National Guard and attended New Vision Community Church. He enjoyed fishing and spending time on his farm.
Survivors include his daughter, Jenny Wilkerson and husband Robbie of Burlington; four grandchildren, Robert Trey Shaw, Justin Blake Fogleman and wife "Baby Girl" Shelby, Joshua Sean Fogleman and wife Kathryn, and Christopher Ryan Fogleman and fiancé Clarissa, all of Burlington; five great-grandchildren, Jaylan Lindsey Basham, Alec Blake Fogleman, Noah Sean Fogleman, Zachary Elijah Fogleman, and Korbin Thomas Fogleman; sister, Kathryn Phillips of Burlington; and three brothers, Bill Coleman and wife Shelby of Burlington, Leroy Coleman of Snow Camp, and Teddy Coleman of Mebane.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, John Wayne Coleman; brother in law, Rev. Jack Phillips; and his great grandson, Nollan Blake Fogleman.
