Dolores A. "Dolly" (Sessie) Burns, 85, of Unity Township, died Tuesday, Jan. 30, 2018, at Mt. View Specialty Care, Unity Township. She was born Sept. 3, 1932, in Unity Township, a daughter of the late Louis A. and Rose (Bernat) Sessie. She was a graduate of St. Xavier Academy and, prior to retirement, worked for the US Postal Service in Latrobe. Dolly was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, Marguerite, and its Rosary Altar Society. She was also a member of the Marguerite Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary. Dolly loved working with her plants in the greenhouse and gardening. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Regis T. Smith; her second husband, Joseph E. Burns Jr.; and her son, Louis A. Smith. She is survived by niece and caregiver, Rachelle "Cricket" Krehlik; three stepchildren, Judy Dias and her husband, Robert, Ronald Burns and Diane Kuncher; her loyal canine companion, Meka; and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and longtime friends.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity. Prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home followed by a funeral Mass to be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Benedict Catholic Church, with the Rev. Jeremiah T. O'Shea as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Vincent Cemetery, Unity Township.
