Jackie was the wife of John "Jack" Costello for 56 years. She was the daughter of the late "Gus" (Arthur) & "Bella" (Melvina)(nee' Allaire) Paquette, the original owners and operators of Gus's Tavern in Nasonville, where she spent many childhood years. Jackie was a 1956 graduate of Burrillville High School and life-long resident of Burrillville until 2007 when she moved to CT. As a resident of Burrillville she was very active in the community serving as a volunteer for 30 years at Austin T. Levy School, a member of the Nasonville Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary, treasurer of the Burrillville Junior Hockey League and Burrillville Little League and a den mother in Cub Scout Pack 1 in Nasonville. She was also a member of the Interfaith Choir from 1980 - 1990. Jackie loved to make jigsaw puzzles, play games and bird watch.
Besides her husband she is survived by her son, Kenneth D. Costello and his wife Amy of Dover, NH , and her daughter, Amy (Costello) Florenzano and her husband Anthony of Brooklyn, CT. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren, Kathryn & Elizabeth Costello and David Palmisciano. Jackie was predeceased by her sister, Florence (Paquette) Higgins.
A memorial service in celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, February 3rd at 2:00 PM at the Brown Funeral Home, 1496 Victory Hwy, Oakland, RI. A private burial will be held at the RI Veterans Cemetery in Exeter at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jackie's memory to the Friends of Assisi Food Pantry, 77 Water St # A, Danielson, CT 06239.
