Billy Ray Dunn, 78, of Clear Fork, WV passed away on Tuesday January 30, 2018 at Bowers Hospice House, Beckley, WV. Billy liked fishing, hunting and helped on the farm growing up. He worked at the Gas Well Company for a short time. Billy was a care giver to his parents, brother Wesley Dunn and Katherine Rose. Billy never met a stranger. He loved to go to Tudor's, McDonald's and Hardees. He loved family gatherings and listening to music.
He was born on August 23, 1939 in Clear Fork, WV a son of the late David Dunn (Deceased) and Anna Barnette-Dunn (Deceased). In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by five brothers, Jerry Dunn (Deceased), James Edward Dunn (1921-2014), Wesley F. Dunn (1915-Deceased), Burley D. Dunn (1923-Deceased) and Willie Dunn (Deceased); and three sisters, Lena Dunn-Holbrook (1917-Deceased), Juanita V. Dunn (1932-1933) and Sylvia Dunn-Fisher (1929-Deceased).
Survivors include a sister, Grace Dunn-Cook of Clear Fork; a brother, Tom Dunn & wife Judy Dunn of Granite Falls, NC; two sisters-in-law, Norma Jean Dunn and Joyce Dunn; nieces, Sherry Meade, Loretta Cook, Paige Argabright, and Meredith Oxendine; nephew David Dunn; and many other nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday February 2, 2018 in the Chapel of Stafford Family Funeral Home, Lynco, WV with Pastor Hannibal Blankenship, Jr. officiating. He will be laid to rest in Hughes Family Cemetery, Sunhill, WV.
