Jerry Elton Henson, 69 of Yorkville, Tennessee died on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at his residence in Yorkville, Tennessee.

Born Tuesday, August 3, 1948 in Mooring, Tennessee, he was the son of the late John Elton Henson and the late Helen Mae Dial Glauner. Mr. Henson was a retired employee of Sun Products. He was United States Marine Veteran who proudly served his country in the Vietnam War and received a Purple Heart.

Graveside services for Mr. Henson will be 3:00 PM on Wednesday, January 31, 2018 at Fairview Cemetery in Newbern, Tennessee. Officiating this service will be Rev. Tommy Roper.

He is survived by one son, Richard "Richie" Henson of Illinois; his twin brother, Jack Henson of Churchton, Tennessee and one sister, Barbara Richmond of Yorkville, Tennessee.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his step-father, Henry "Hank" Glauner and two brothers, Leonard Henson and Joe Henson.

Pallbearers will be members of the Vietnam Veterans of America Honor Guard.
