Mr. William Carl Chorba, 69, of Waynesville (Brantley Co, GA) died Thursday evening (March 29, 2007) at his residence after a long illness.
He was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania and his parents were Stephen and Mary Hlavek Chorba. He is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Daren Chorba, also several Sisters and Brothers.
Mr. Chorba served in the United States Navy and then worked as a Accounting Executive for 28 years with King and Prince Seafood. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary Grace Edgy Chorba of Waynesville, GA; 3 Children, Mitchell William Chorba (Cindy) of Hortense, GA, Timmy Chorba of Waynesville, GA and Teysha Justice (Finance, Gordon Shaw) of Waynesville, GA; 6 Grandchildren, Brandon and Kelly Justice, Timothy and Jessica Chorba and Trenton and Trevor Chorba; a Sister, Pearl Serino of Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania; also, several nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Friday evening starting at 6 p.m. at Chambless-Frye Funeral Home, Nahunta.
Funeral services will be Saturday (March 31, 2007) at 3 p.m. at the Chapel of Chambless-Frye Funeral Home with Father Cletis officiating.
Burial will follow in Pilgrims Rest Cemetery, Waynesville, GA with Military Rites.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to Hospice of the Golden Isles, Brunswick, Glynn Co, GA.
