Daughter of Walter and Evelyn Sprinkle of Camden Indiana. She graduated from Camden High School in 1955 and Ball State with a masters degree in 1959. Joyce married Dean Sanderson on 13 June, 1959. She taught school at Camden Elementary and retired there. Joyce had two daughters. Dee Ann and Lisa and one son Bradley.
Upon retirement she and Dean lived in N Fort Myers Florida, at Six Lakes Country Club. Both were avid and excellent golfers.
Joyce was preceded in death by Dean who passed in 1997 to pulmonary fibrosis.
