Michael Eugene Darling, 65, of Casey, IL passed away at 1:37 PM on January 29, 2018 at his residence.

A visitation will be held for family and friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Thursday February 1, 2018 at the Barkley Funeral Chapel in Greenup, IL. Burial will be in the Jack Oak Cemetery at a later date.

Michael was born in Mattoon, IL on January 2, 1953 to Russell & Theresa (Dooling) Darling.

Surviving is a daughter Mikayla Darling (Jerad Wendorff) of Sioux Falls, SD; Granddaughter Addison Wendorff; step Grandchild Easton Wendorff; Sister Nancy Darling of Casey; Brothers Bob (wife Kathy) Darling of Becker, MN and Larry Darling of Waterloo, IA; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Michael was preceded in death by his parents.

Michael had been a welder for Yargus Manufacturing in Marshall and worked the Duvall Copper Mines in Tucson, AZ; he loved to draw, play pool and write poems.
