ABINGDON, Va. Katherine E. Adams, 67, died on Sunday, January 28, 2018, at her home. She was born in Richlands, Virginia, daughter of the late Storia Rife. She was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Jacksonville, Florida.
She is survived by her husband, Robert E. Adams; one daughter, Leigh Ann Adams - Greer and husband, Darryl of Bristol, Virginia; her mother, Ruby Rife of Grundy, Virginia; one sister, JoEllen Rife of Grundy, Virginia; two very special friends, Carrie Steele of Fernandina Beach, Florida and Cheryl Hubbard of Christiansburg, Virginia; two special friends and caregivers, Tamika "Coco" Brizzell of Bristol, Virginia and Pat Osborne of Castlewood, Virginia; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Katherine E. Adams will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Castlewood Funeral Home Chapel, Castlewood, Virginia with the Rev. P. J. Rose officiating. Interment will follow at Temple Hill Memorial Park, Castlewood, Virginia. Pallbearers will be family and friends. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 p.m. Thursday, February 1, 2018, at Castlewood Funeral Home, Castlewood, Virginia.
