Clyde W. Patterson, 87, of North Olmsted, passed away January 30, 2018.
He was born in Lakewood, the son of the late Ernest and Evelyn Hawn Patterson. Clyde was the beloved husband of the late Arlene (nee Gath); cherished father of Mark (Carol), Pamela (Douglas) O'Conke, Ruth (Robert) Butterfield and Stephen (Karen); adored grandfather of Andrew, Matthew, Erin, Ruthie (deceased), Sara, Christopher, Joe, Jacob and Kathryn and great-grandfather of Dillinger; dear brother of Ernest (Pat, deceased) and the late Evelyn (Walter) Mott; loving partner of Patti Turon. Also survived by his faithful companion, Chance. US Army Korean Conflict veteran. He retired from Ohio Bell as a Foreman. He is a 60-year member of Harding-Concordia #345 F. & A.M. and a Shriner. Clyde was a Life-time member of the North Olmsted VFW Post 7447, the NRA and the South Cuyahoga Sportsman's Club. He was also a Ducks Unlimited contributor, member of the North Olmsted Sportsman's Club and The National Amateur Trap Shooters Association. He will forever be remembered as "Bingo Clyde" for God's Special Children at Christ the King Vineyard Church in North Olmsted.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 10AM-12PM in the Chapel at Sunset Memorial Park, 6245 Columbia Rd., North Olmsted, where funeral services will commence on Saturday at 12PM. Committal services with military honors will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to God's Special Children Ministry at Christ the King Vineyard Church 30635 Lorain Rd., North Olmsted 44070 or to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 5700 Brecksville Rd., Independence 44131.
