Born in Greenville, she was a daughter of the late Talmadge and Nettie Sue Brown Hill.
Susan was a member of Mauldin United Methodist Church, attended Anderson College, a substitute teacher for Greenville County schools for several years, and the former owner of Ugly Biscuit restaurant.
She is survived by a son, Walter E. McDaniel, IV (Cynthia “Cindy”); a sister, June Boyd, of Charlotte, NC; a brother, James Hill, of Summerville; and a brother-in-law, David McDaniel, of New Market, AL.
