Billy Joe Brandon, 85 of Jackson passed away on January 28, 2018. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday February 2, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Madison County Church of Christ with entombment to follow in Highland Memorial Gardens Mausoleum. Ben Flatt will officiate the service.
Mr. Brandon was born on January 1, 1933 in Bemis TN, to the late Basil Floyd and Emma Elrod Brandon. He graduated from JB Young High School, and served in the U.S. Army from 1953 -1955. Mr. Brandon worked for the TN Department of Transportation employed for 40+ years prior to retirement. Billy was an avid TN Volunteers, LA Lakers and LA Dodgers fan. He was a member of Bemis Historical Society and was also an original member of Madison County Church of Christ and instrumental in the formation and building of the facility and congregation. His love and kindness was felt and cherished by all of those who met him.
Other than his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Delores Ellen Brandon, and brother Russell Brandon,
He is survived by his son Terry and grandson Jacob Brandon.
A visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 pm -8 pm at the North Chapel of George. A. Smith and Sons
