A native of Winnfield and resident of Denham Springs, Thomas Roddie Poole Sr. passed away on January 25, 2018, at the age of 88. He was a graduate of Winnfield High School and Northwestern University. He retired from the State Legislative Auditors of Louisiana with twenty-plus years of service. Graveside services will be held at Roselawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, January 31, 2018, at 10:00am. He is survived by two daughters, Wanda J. Poole, and Beth Poole Jessup and husband David; son, Thomas R. Poole Jr. and wife Tracey; six grandchildren; Michelle Clark and fiancé Jason Hathaway, Chris Jessup, Rachel Jessup Carr and husband Chad, Lawson Jessup, Camaille Poole, and Zachariah Badon; three great-grandchildren, Lauren Picou, Brian Picou Jr., and Matthew Picou; and great-great-granddaughter, Zoey Krauss; and brother, Michael Van Poole.
