Graveside services at Many Cemetery for Patricia Ann Miller Baldridge, wife of E.T. Baldridge of Many. These services will be held Thursday, February 1 at 10:00, Friends and family are welcome to attend.


Mrs. Baldridge died Monday morning, January 22 at Willis-Knighton Pierremont in Shreveport following a short illness.


Mrs. Baldridge was predeceased by her parents, Verne and Jean Miller: her sister, Mary Jacoby; and her son Little Ed Baldridge Jr.


Patricia Ann Miller was born July 21, 1932 in Clovis New Mexico. She graduated from Clovis High School as valedictorian. She met Mr. Baldridge at a Valentine Dance and they were married August 26, 1950.Mr. Baldridge worked in the cable T.V, business for many years. Mr. and Mrs. Baldridge moved to Many in 1965 to found Western Louisiana Video and later Illini Cablevision and Radio with Tedd Dumas. They worked long hours. Everyone in the family helped from bookkeeping to going from door to door handing out flyers for the business. The business grew by leaps and bounds and spread to many parts of the country.


In 1992, Mr. and Mrs. Baldridge funded the Conchgua Community Potable Water Project, which provided clean water to families in Ecuador. The water system was dedicated to the memory of their son. Ed Baldridge Jr. Ed and Pat Baldridge With their daughters travelled to Ecuador for the dedication services. The Baldridges were at one time, one of CARE's largest contributors and were named BY CARE at the 1999 Global Leadership Award Dinner in Atlanta as Philanthropists of the Year Award.


Mrs. Baldridge enjoyed sewing and needlework. While her children were at home she made everyone of the girl's outfits and of course they were alike. She needlepointed baby blankets for the great-grandchildren and beautiful wedding samplers for the granddaughters until arthritis set into her hands.


Mrs. Baldridge was an impeccable dresser, great cook, loving wife, mother, grandmother great-grandmother and aunt. She put her family first in all she did and loved them unconditionally. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Many.
