Harrison "Jim" Jones, Jr. ~ San Angelo
Harrison "Jim" Jones Jr., 76, of San Angelo, passed away into the loving arms of his Heavenly Father on Friday, Jan. 26, 2018 in San Angelo.
He was born on Feb. 14, 1941 to Harrison and Hazel (Orme) Jones in Maysville, Kentucky. Jim was a sergeant with the Georgetown, Kentucky Police Department and also worked for TWA. On Aug. 31, 1963, he married Dorothy C. Ortega in California. Jim will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a devoted member of Cross Road Assembly of God for over 30 years. Jim was an avid fisherman, hunter, traveler and enjoyed seeing his grandkids. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.
Pallbearers are Chuck Martin, Terry Wallace, Gilbert Saldate, Sal Molina, Richard Leake and Nguyen Thai.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harrison Jones Sr. and Hazel Jones; sisters, Dolly Bowling, Joyce Neff, Mary Parker, Gladys Dean Doherty; and his brother, Larry Michael Jones.
Jim is survived by his loving spouse of 54 years, Dorothy C. Jones of San Angelo; daughter, Debbie and Chuck Martin of Celina, Texas; son, Jimmy and Patti Jones of Arlington, Texas; daughter, Dana and Terry Wallace of San Angelo; grandchildren, Brittany Mercer, Courtney Mercer, Jarrett Jones, Landon Jones, Caroline Jones, Rachael Wallace, Morgan Wallace; siblings, Geraldene Clark, Paul

Visitation is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018 at Robert Massie Funeral Home.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018 at Cross Road Assembly of God with Pastor Steve Hamm, officiating, with burial in Calvary Catholic Cemetery under the direction of Robert Massie Funeral Home.
