RACINE — Howard C. Robinson, 87, Racine, passed away at 7:10 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2018 in Overbrook Rehabilitation Center in Middleport.
Born November 19, 1930 in the Apple Grove community of Meigs County, he was the son of the late Earl and Bertha Stover Robinson. Howard was a retired plant manager from Martin-Marietta Corporation with over 35 years of service. He was a member of the Racine United Methodist Church where he served as a long-time church trustee. He founded God's Hands, a program to construct handicap ramps to those with physical barriers. Howard was a Master Mason of Shade River Lodge #453 of Free & Accepted Masons of Ohio and a Scottish Rite 32nd Degree Master Mason of the Valley of Columbus . Howard loved to travel to Blue Grass music festivals and enjoyed fishing and hunting.
Howard is survived by his wife, Mary Darst Robinson, two sons, Carl (Carolyn) Robinson, of Racine and Bryan (Annie) Robinson, of Ridgefield, Connecticut, a granddaughter, Nikki (Jeremey) Northup, of Racine, two grandsons, B. J. (Jennifer) Robinson, of Ridgefield, CT and Mark Robinson, Ridgefield, CT, two great-grandchildren, step-son, John (Jenny) Sigman, of Addison and step grandsons, Randy (Melissa) Sigman, of Cheshire and John (Mandy) Sigman Jr., of Addison, five step-great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Raymond Robinson, sisters, Clara Mae Sargent and Mabel Shields and brothers, Bill Robinson, Ted Robinson and Raymond Robinson.
Funeral services will be at noon, Saturday, January 27, 2018 in the Racine United Methodist Church. Officiating will be Pastors Larry Fisher and Jim Satterfield. Private interment will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 6 - 8 p.m. Friday at the church. Masonic funeral services will be conducted by Shade River Lodge #453, F. & A.M. at 8 P.M. Friday evening at the church. Funeral services are entrusted to the Cremeens-King Funeral Home, Racine.
