Mary Jo Jones, 87, widow of William Elliott Jones, died on Sunday, January 28, 2018. A resident of Danville, Kentucky, she was born on September 4, 1930 in Lexington, Kentucky and was the daughter of the late Ollie B. Bishop and Sallie Champion Bishop. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Bruce Elliott Jones; and a daughter, Jo Ellen Jones Grigsby. She is survived by a loving son-in-law and loving nieces, nephews and many friends. Mrs. Jones was a graduate of Lafayette High School and the University of Kentucky where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta and Phi Beta Kappa. She received a Master of Arts degree and was a Fellow of the University of Kentucky. She was formerly a member of the Presbyterian Church of Danville and served as an Elder in the Presbyterian Church USA. Burial will be in the Lexington Cemetery, Lexington, Kentucky.
