She was born December 26, 1958 in Jerseyville, a daughter of the late Homer File and Barbara Dalhberg.
She married Ron “Homer” Richards on October 2, 2016 in Alton after 17 years together.
She loved her days of attending yard sales and cherished spending time with her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Terry W. (Stacy) Barrett of Pontoon Beach, Tony Barrett of Hartford and Donald Frymire of Alton; step-children, Sadina Eagles, Julie Richards, Carrie Richards and Joseph Richards; grandchildren, Brandon, Amber, Corey and Alex; several step-grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Katherine (Charlie) Little of Benton and Paula (Jeff) Forester of Alton; three brothers, Cecil (Kim) File of Cottage Hills, David (Bobbi) File of East Alton and Ed (Dawn) Dugge of Alton; many nieces; nephews; other extended family and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Theresa Stevens and a brother, Kenneth File.
In celebration of her life, a memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Bottle & Barrel, 554 East Broadway in Alton. Irwin Chapel of Granite City in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of floral tributes, memorials may be made to the family.
