Roy L. Fisher, 81, formerly of Granville, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Ohesson Manor.

Born Jan. 19, 1937, in Lewistown, he was the son of the late Joseph G. Fisher and Doris L. (Cook) Fisher.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by: his wife, Beverly G. (Gasper) Fisher, who passed on Feb. 3, 2016; son, Roy L. “Mick” Fisher, in 1990; siblings, Robert Fisher, Joan Kearns, Kathy Fisher, and Ivan Fisher; and sister-in law, Hilde Fisher.

He is survived by: children; Teresa Peachey and husband, Carl, of Belleville, Michael Fisher and wife, Julie, of Longfellow, and Mark Fisher and wife, Kathy, of Lewistown; sisters, Barbara Reik, of Lewistown; Peggy Bradford and husband, Nelson, of Manchester, and Jeanie Wagner and husband, Randy, of Milroy; brother-in-law, Norman Kearns, of Lewistown; sister-in-law, Carol Fisher, of Lewistown; grandchildren, Nathan Peachey, Andy Fisher, Tom Fisher, Lauren Fisher, Nikki Fisher, and Ashley Smouse; and great-grandchildren, Courtney Cole, Destiny Wileman, Dru Speece, Jaxon Speece, Chloe Fisher, Hunter Smeltz, Braxton Smeltz, Clayton Fisher and Bella Fisher.

Roy was a Lewistown Area High School graduate, Class of 1954.

He worked at James F. Havice Inc. as a supervisor, retiring in 1999.

Roy was a member of the Granville United Methodist Church and a life member of the Burnham and Granville Fire companies and the Blue Juniata Beagle Club, in Belltown.

A receiving of friends and family will be held from 10 to 11 a.m., with a memorial service to follow at 11 a.m., on Thursday, Feb. 1, 2018, at Granville United Methodist Church, 1346 River Road, Granville, with the Rev. G. Edward Corcelius officiating.
